Wow. The only way this book could have been worse was if it didnt include a new stitch at the beginning of every chapter. And even that was weak because it didnt give very good instructions on how to do the stitches.

This book was neither insightful about Zen nor about knitting. Exploring in the subtitle is accurate. Thats all the author did was wander around in her own mind babbling about stuff youd already know if youd read even one book on either knitting or Zen.

One ironic note: I was particularly peeved that she disbelieved that anyone could learn to knit on their own. Not only was this statement ludicrous (I actually did teach myself to knit on my own), but its hypocritical coming from an author who wants to show you new stitches IN A BOOK.
