Jackson Crowe has been chosen to lead an elite and unique team. Their job is to hunt the paranormal, decipher fact from fiction. The six member team will be made up of individuals that have shown promise in regards to psychic ability. Jackson is hesitant to lead another team. Members of his last team were killed in the line of duty and he still suffers tremendous guilt. He did experience a bit of the paranormal as a child but he is still somewhat a skeptic. Angela Hawkins was the only survivor of a plane crash as a child. Since then she has experienced many psychic phenomena. She is the strongest member of Jackson's team. She is the perfect counterbalance to Jackson's skepticism.

The case centers around the death of a Louisiana Senator's wife. Regina Holloway fell to her death from the balcony of her New Orleans home. Some believe she jumped suffering deep depression over the loss of her son, but others believe paranormal entities are at fault. Her husband is certain that ghosts are at fault. It turns out the mansion the Holloway's lived in was once owned by a serial killer. As the team descends on the New Orleans mansion all kinds of interesting bits of information start crawling out of the woodwork. The mystery becomes much bigger than first thought. Will the culprit be unruly ghosts or will the true evil lie closer to home?

Phantom Evil is a sexy spooky adventure. There is a huge fascinating mystery in Phantom Evil that unfolds slowly underneath all the paranormal illusions that grab your attention immediately. The clues to the case are like breadcrumbs left for the reader to follow but you are so caught up in the astonishing ghostly visuals provided by Heather Graham that you don't realize the culprit until it's too late. I definitely got totally wrapped up in this mystery. I enjoyed the depth of the story within Phantom Evil. Ms. Graham wields her pen like a magician. I felt like I was there with Jackson and his team in New Orleans experiencing everything with them.

Underneath this amazing mystery lies a beautiful believable romance as well. Jackson and Angela may appear to be total opposites at the beginning of this journey but both learn a lot from each other. Jackson may be the skeptic in this group but it is Angela that must learn to trust the people around her. Phantom Evil is a thrilling story that will leave you haunted yet begging for more.
