This book contains three novellas which tie together nicely in the end. The whole Kincaid clan is making their way home to San Diego for the Christmas holiday. Patrick Kincaid's mother asks him to stop in San Francisco on his way home and check on their neighbor's daughter, Gabrielle (Elle) Santana. It doesn't take long for Patrick to find Elle and get embroiled in a mess that includes human trafficking and people shooting at them.

Lucy Kincaid and Sean Rogan are stuck in a Denver Hotel along with Dillon and Kate when a body is discovered. Since the roads are closed due to a blizzard, Lucy and Kate decide to start an investigation until the police arrive.

In San Diego, the Kincaid family patriarch, Pat Kincaid, suffers a heart attack and is rushed to the hospital. When Carina Kincaid stops in to check on her father, she finds herself taken hostage by a gunman along with three nurses.

I found each of these stories to be entertaining and fast moving. The only part of the book that I did not care for was the character of Elle who I found jumped from one dumb decision to the next. She needed to use her brain. I enjoyed seeing so many characters from Allison Brennan's previous books. My rating: 4 Stars.
