The author's style is a bit confusing. It goes back and forth between what the suspect told police when she was arrested and what she is telling the author during interviews. This style can be good, but this author simply makes it confusing by not clearly identifying which chapter reflects original interviews with the police and which is a result of the author's interview with her.
