I always enjoy this author, and this book is one of her best. It is the story of a Renaissance courtesan who is in a business arrangement with a dwarf. It is funny;sad, poignant, and conveys a feeling of empathy for both of the main characters. The story is told through the dwarf and it is interesting to see his view of life. I love the book.
