I can't believe anyone actually liked this book. I felt it was just plain ridiculous for many reasons. I suppose it was interesting enough to cause me to finish it, but even after I was done, I was left thinking, "What did I just read?!"

The story line was totally unbelievable in my opinion. The ending seemed abrupt, as though the author was just trying to find a way to end the nonsense. I think the idea of the book seemed intriguing, but the concept wasn't very well put together. A reference to the Backstreet Boys threw me off a bit, for the (original) publication date was 1983 (the Backstreet Boys were established roughly 10 years later). Perhaps this book was originally published in the 1980s and the author tried to update the book to be a bit more current, but nowadays with cell phones and the internet, I'd say this book was way too dated to be believable.

All in all this book was just too odd for me to enjoy it.
