Two words come to mind..Not Impressed.

My Abandonmentis based off a true story of a 13 year old girl who was discovered living with her Father for the past 4 years in Forest Park National Forest in Oregon. Authorities stepped in and found the two housing, the father a job, and the chance of living normally. A few weeks after living there Caroline and her father disappear. This is when the author takes the story and puts his own spin on what happens next despite the fact that no one really knows the fate of these two.

What I didn't enjoy was one of the missing elements of Why? I'm one of those people that understand people much better if they can explain their actions no matter how odd or weird they are. I can guess as to why Caroline's father wanted to live like this, but guessing is not my thing. I want to know the truth. I also did not enjoy the author taking the story and giving it an end. The story really does not feel finished, it feels fake to me now.
