Colorado caterer, Goldie Schultz' business is skyrocketing. Her friend, Marla, warns, "Success can kill you." Goldie realizes the need to slow down before she breaks down although she struggles with trying to "make hay while the sun shines." She plans to slow down right after her next cocktail party booking at the Westside Mall's Elite Shoppers Club.

Goldy is hired by the mall manager to cater the jewel-encrusted affair. But when she begins to set up her food entrees, she is nearly run over by a huge truck. She and Barry are nearly crushed underneath it.

Muddied and bruised, she carries on her job. She polishes off the catering party with a flair despite a fight among the guests and a near mishap with food. Only things are about to get a lot worse when Goldie's best carving knife is found in the back of Mall Manager Barry Dean. Could things get worse? You haven't heard the half of it . . . yet!
