I'm a sucker for a cozy that revolves around coffee! I hope upcoming books will have more coffee info tho. This is a typical slueth, sneaking around, wondering if she should share info, or if people are fully sharing with her. She has the requisite animal and family that's around, but not underfoot (son away at college), and circle of friends that she hopes she can trust. Of course there's the, again, requisite cute police officer.

Even though a lot of it is standard in cozies these days, I liked that the clues weren't so easy I had it figured out by chapter 2. I have to admit that I actually missed a couple of clues and didn't realize they were clues until the wrap up at the end. I like to be kept guessing!

The characters aren't, yet, all that likeable. I could do without any of them appearing in the next, so I hope to see some character development, something to start to endear me to these people.

I love coffee, like that I was kept guessing, and enjoyed the main character's personality, so far. I'm looking forward to book 2.
