This novel is a roller coaster of a spy thriller! It t zips along at a breakneck pace. It's got some great twists and turns to it. It's a fun read a bit of a James Bond touch here and there but no fantastic gadgets or cars.

Charlie Clark is a gambler on a losing streak. He gets a call from a senior citizen's center work on arranging for his father's long-term care. Dad (Drummond) is suffering from the early stages of Alzheimer's disease. Floating in and out of awareness. Father and son have never really been close, dad was on the road selling washing machines. They're about to get up close and appreciate each other on an entirely new level as it becomes increasingly evident that Dad had a secret career as a master spy, and has now been targeted for elimination due to his faltering memory!

Charley and Dad are out to keep dad alive in a trek that takes them from Brooklyn to Virginia and back.

I can't wait for book 2 in the saga! I got hooked on this book and couldn't put it down!
