Holy Crap!! Right off I'll tell you i'm petrified of snakes! The pictures were enough to give me nightmares. That being said my curiosity about snake-handeling combined with religion made this book very interesting to me. This is an excellent read full of actual accounts of past and still practiced snake redemption in the Southern Appalachia. I found it very informative. How and where the snakes were obtained, how they were kept etc. This book introduced me to a long practiced worship that I understand a little better having read it. Not that i'm going to try handeling snakes yet! Just saying.
