This is an excellent book for kids to use for beginning cooking. The recipes are fun, easy, and have lots of eye appeal. Each recipe has a "Safety Signal"--traffic light next to it to show how much help the child will need. Red light--definitely need adult help. Yellow light--cooking time is longer and dishes might get hot; adult should be available if needed. Green light--easy and probably won't need any adult help. The first few pages give tips, terms, and special instructions. There are drawings of all the utensils that are required. There is a nice page of drawings showing equivalent measures. Two pages of photographs are devoted to showing how to measure correctly. The book is spiral bound, so it lies flat. The pages are heavy, high-gloss paper. This is a really nice book.
