This is the 2nd book in the wonderful Pearl Street series and it is absolutely another great read. Follows Eileen Costello and her family and other residents of Pearl Street in Bootle, home to Liverpool's docks, as World War II enters its second year, and Liverpool comes under crushing bombing. If you like the books of Lilian Harry, you will enjoy this series
