Amelia has no choice but to become a mail-order bride. She goes to Illinois but her husband dies on their wedding night. She discovers his "GRAND ESTATE" is nothing more than an old delapidated boarding house. To keep her from selling their only home, her boarders decide to find her another husband as soon as possible. Undercover US Marshall Michael Thompson who lives right down the hall, will do nicely. However he is on the trail of a killer--and can' reveal his true idenity to the pretty young widow. A little Christmas magic and a kiss help things along.
