An excellent international thriller, written by a string of authors familiar to any mystery affcionado. The story is told from the viewpoint of the multiple characters, and intermingles relationships, mysteries and events from the past and present, with unexpected detours and twists right up to the very end.

The suspense is multi-layered. The reason for the pursuit and killings isn't immediately clear, and with few exceptions, the reader can't determine which characters are heroes, and which are villians.

Jeffrey Deaver does an excellent job tying the loose ends together, and the various authors do a great job of picking up the thread of the story, and keeping the characters true to form throughout the book. And unless I'm misremembering, someone gets killed in every single chapter.

The narration on the audio does a great job of keeping the characters straight, and there's even a little Chopin in the recording - to signify the ends and beginnings of chapters.
