This is the story about a young woman who struggles with her past, not wanting to forget it because of what she's learned from it, but also very afraid that she's going to fall back into it. This fear makes her afraid of the changes that come her way when her father's church hires a man who reminds her a little too much of her past to help update their image. She sees a little too much of her past in the man and the changes he's trying to bring about and she is afraid of the attraction that she feels to him.
