This sequel to Arundal continues the saga of Arnold as he now marches south from Quebec through Lakes Champlain and Lake George towards Albany. The chief protagonist is again from Arundel and the guides from the former story continue their roles. There is another love interest throughout, but this merely provides a distraction and subplot to retain interest.
