Midway through this book, I was beginning to get a little bored, but am glad I stuck with it. I enjoy historical fiction and this book had a little mystery, including murder and kidnapping, as well as adventure and romance so it should appeal to a wide rang of readers. Descriptions are important for me to be able to picture the situation in my mind, but at times I believe they were a little over done and I admit to skipping some lengthy ones. Other times, I found sentences to be shot and choppy, but that may jut be the author's waiting style that I am not used to. Overall, I enjoyed this book and will look or others by this author.
