I didn't realize it when I picked it up, but this is a mystery; sure, it has ESP, but at its heart it is a mystery. Bryony Ashley's dad dies and she is aware -- both from a psychic flash from her dad, and from the on-going ESP discussion she has with her anonymous "lover". Her lover has been in her life as long as she can remember, so she thinks it must be one of her cousins that she grew up with on the Ashley estate. Definitely a good book, appropriately vague and confusing at first; as usual, a tad too corny in the tradition of British pulp fiction.
