In some ways, this mystery was a bit drawn out, but it was still an entertaining read. Upfield lets you into "Bony's' thoughts as he investigates crimes. This allows you to understand his forensic techniques.

As my mother was an Australian, and was a girl during the period these novels take place, I find them more interesting them than others might.
