Amazing book by a woman who helped the Frank Family while they were in hiding. Miep Gies is the person who should be credited for Anne's diary and writings not falling into the hands of Nazis and/or being tossed away. Miep collected the writings and stored them, after the families in hiding were arrested, at her desk at work with the belief that she would someday see Anne again and return them to her. Tragically this was never to be however, Miep returned them to Anne's father, Otto Frank. The rest is history.

This is a truly incredible story. It is interesting to hear from someone who knew Anne as a tiny girl and was a close friend of the entire family. After the war Otto Frank lived with Miep and her husband as he considered them his only family left.
