This is the 4th book in the series of "Ellie's People" written by a former Amish girl. I think this is the best of the ones I've read so far, though much of it was very sad and depressing. Daniel wants to marry a girl who was adopted by an Amish family. He is very much in love with her and his own family doesn't approve. It shows the struggle of life even amongst the Plain people. It shows how perseverance, patience, and trusting in the Lord for strength and help are extremely important. It seemed as if Daniel had one bad thing happen after the next, but regardless of it, he loved God and depended on Him even though it was incredibly difficult. Don't worry, there is a happy ending!
