A great resource for anyone near cancer, at any age. Highly recommended.
3/4 families in America will have direct experience with cancer. It's tough for survivors, caregivers, and family to deal with. The chemo treatments are horrible.

Mrs. Bombeck's humor makes the medicine go down. She is both a source, and a finder, of humorous situations -- making lemonade out lemons of life -- including childhood cancer.
I did not know when I was reading my first copy that she would die of cancer. 31 of my friends have, about twice that many are surviving, doing mostly just fine, some with long after-effects. Erma's book is helpful at any stage in the journey.

I read many books during my treatment and recovery. This is one of the two best. A friend borrowed mine and passed it around; I never got it back, always wanted a copy; now thanks to PBS I have one to re-read and share.
