Ah Poirot. Modesty is not your strong suit.

This was a nice grouping of mysteries. Each was distinct, which is something I like about Christie. Especially the Prime Minister, which was much fun. I also enjoyed the heiress who proved the worth of her education. :)

My only problem with them is they were a bit too short. Many of them were quite sudden. Which is an effect of them being short stories, but if there had been one or two fewer stories and some of the others had a bit more breathing room I think it would have been better. (And I really wish Hastings wasn't the narrator. The few Poirot mysteries that don't have him are more pleasant.)

But the plots are all Christie--unique and interesting. The book overall is good, but not something I'm likely to read again. Was not as good as some Christies, though it certainly had a variety. Trade off with shorts--more intrigue, less detail.
