The book is an excellent introduction to the different seasons for youngsters. It describes each and adds great illustrations with children and family outside doing things together. The book could also be used as a writing prompt because again the illustrations done by John Wallner are very detailed which would give the children ideas for their writing describtions. I would definitely recommend this book, I found it charming.
