Beautiful gift book. On Christmas Eve' is the 11th in the Thomas Kinkade series of Cape Light books . One nice thing, is that you do not have to have read the entire sequence of books to enjoy or understand this one. However, Cape Light is such a welcoming, comforting place that you should read the series. They are a sweet soothing read, anytime.
.
The people in the town have problems and faults, but they are, for the most part good and they act in a realistic manner. As the story progresses, bits of background and information are slipped into the story line to let a new reader, or remind a former reader who the characters are and what has happened before. The surroundings and even the smells are well described, so that you are drawn into the story, not just by the people but by the setting around them.

This new novel deals with two main stories, a runaway and a wife of the town curmudgeon who wants to take her in; and a divorced woman who might find romance.
