I have read some of the Willa Jansson series and liked that character so was pleased to read the Laura Di Palma book although it was out of order in the series. There are seven novels in this series so now I want to start at the beginning. Lia is starting to practice law all over again - this time solo in a not-so-posh part of San Francisco. She is hired by a guru, Brother Mike Hover, to represent him in a potential lawsuit where the plaintiff alleges he took videos of her sex therapy sessions and now sells them in a porn shop. She gets a disturbing call from an attorney friend who is hysterical and not making any sense at all. Laura drives to the "sex-positive" dance club and finds six dead dancers and one dead man. There are some very interesting twists and Laura is a very likable heroine. NOTE: this book contains graphic sexual scenes detailed for the reader.
