I try to listen to audiobooks that are unabridged but I don't think there is one for this book. I am glad I went ahead and ordered this anyway. What a great story.
I used to work in computer software and found the storyline to be very insteresting. The book's plot is about a software program called OBSIDIAN which is supposed to be some super encryption program. Alex Treven is a lawyer who is working on the patent for OBSIDIAN when OBSIDIAN's programmer is found murdered and the patent examiner mysteriously dies. Then Alex finds himself running for his own life. There are people from the government involved. Are they good guys or bad? Who can you trust? Who would think you could get murdered for writing a software program? The storyline raises some interesting questions.
This is the first Barry Eisler book that I have listened to but I really want to read/isten to more.
