Back of book: arcy didn't want to leave Lance behind. She loved her collie. But she didn't have any choice. Mom & Dad & Janet were moving to the big city, and Lance couldn't go along...Darcy discovered that it's hard to make friends in the big city...this is the story of how one girl found that even the worst problem can turn out all right in the end - though sometimes in ways that you least expect.
I say: A well written story - 5th grader Darcy has to leave her dog behind because her little sister is allergic to animals and has asthma. The problems Darcy faces are real and the solutions she finds are believable. This is a Christian book for elementary school age. It will be of interest to all readers.
