I fell in love in the first line with Uncle Bernard, bored with sitting in his drawer which places him above the other dogs in the household. Marcia Willett couldn't have begun with anyone who would better catch my fancy. I'm a pet lover and anyone able to write about these loveable creatures, include them so successfully without their stealing the scenes and plot is certainly a writer for me.
The Ehoes of the Dance gave me hours of pleasurable distraction. Yet it is full of mystery to challenge my wit, and of story lines to make it reward me for my time spent within it's covers.
I would recommend this book to all who enjoy Pilcher and Binchy, and other UK writers.
