Dr. Arielle Banks is lost. After a broken engagement, she has moved to Wyoming to get away. The problem is that she is not the only one lost. The entire storyline is completely lost as well.

I love to read paranormal stories and usually have to fight to put the book down. In this case, I had to fight NOT to. I got halfway through before I just couldn't take it anymore. Readers need to be able to connect with the characters, but with Arielle there is only disconnect.

Not only is she lost, but she has no spirit. Jason, the alpha shapeshifter, commands and there is no struggle. Even the inkling of defiance is quickly thwarted by the alpha command. Jason claims she is submissive, but even a submissive individual struggles to some degree. Arielle has no struggle, no spirit, no spine. She is completely disconnected - from herself and from the reader.
