A graffiti artist is painting the town-literally! The prime suspect is a troublemaker named Curtis. The only person who knows Curtis is innocent is Joe Talbot, but telling the truth could land Joe in the doghouse! This situation reminds Wishbone of Robert Louis Stevenson's adventurous novel Kidnapped. Leaping into the tale, Wishbone imagines himself as David Balfour, a young Scottish Lowlander bound fre adventure, whether he wants it or not. Balfour is kidnapped and is forced to serve as the cabin boy on a sailing ship. When he is rescued by a fellw Scot named Alan Breck Stewart, Balfour's troubles are just beginning..
