With "Judgement Day" Jane Jensen has produced a fascinating and unique look at the "end time". From the prophesy of Nostradamus throgh all the religions and splinter groups and right on to world governments, everyone gets in on the act.
When a secret group decides to fake the Apocolypse for the "good of mankind" things go horribly wrong and quickly get out of control. Billions have died, an atomic war has begun, food production is destroyed, a pandemic is killing everyone, the earth is beginning to shake itself apart and 24 prophets supposedly know what's going on and what to do.
A reporter and a nearly defunct priest figure out the truth but they are helpless to stop it.
Only the subconscience of the human race is able to turn the tide of this world-ending event....but how can this occur.
Although not bursting at the seams with action this is a very good read which will actually leave you wondering about a lot of things.
It's basically a Micheal Crighton meets Dan Brown meets James rollins romp.....entertaining as hell.....read it.
