The author did a great job with this tale, creating layer upon layer of plots and sub-plots within one story. It is a tale of kidnapping, murder, sexual perversion (though nothing too graphic), relationships and so much more. I was a bit put off by the reader at first, as I tend to like female readers better for the most part. They tend to put more emotion into what they read. But I quickly got used to his style and it didn't in any way take away from my enjoyment of this story. In fact, he did a really good job of reading the different characters, so that you could easily tell who was who. This is not always an easy thing to accomplish when you're dealing with several characters of differing genders at one time, so I give kudos for that, especially! All in all, a really good story.
