I think given that the heroine is a succubus, you'd expect more to happen. She's like the anti-succubus. Hates her "job", doesn't want to have sex, had a lot of guilt about sex, love, etc.
There's a slow buildup to something, not sure what, with Seth, who is mentioned on the back cover. But it amounts to almost nothing and clearly is more a foundation for future books. I felt like the voice of Georgina (story written in first person) sounded exactly the same as Seth's, who was writing her letters via email.
It was hard to connect with any of the characters, nobody was particularly interesting until the end of the book. The villain was obvious right from the start. Considering the main character is a succubus, there is very little sex in the book and it is very tame. So not a romance, no sex, not a mystery, no action. Not really sure what this book wants to be.
All that said, I was drawn in by Seth toward the end, and have enough curiosity about what happens next that I'll probably read the next book. I guess that was the aim, just wish the journey had been more interesting.
