I truly enjoyed this Sci-fi book for two distinctly different reasons. The first is the story and content itself. It was very interesting to read a future book written in the early 1960's. To see through the eyes, and the creativity of someone without the perspective we now have.... no computers, cell phones, or even microwave ovens existed at the time. What the future may become was quite different from their perspective. The second was the political and racial climate of the 60's and the strong influence it carried through the story, as well as the residual infleunce from World War 2. Some people may be offended by the use of terms such as "Color'ds", "Niggers" and the derogatory stereotypes... In the end, the story shows the ignorance of such.... While I in no way condone the use of such sterotypes or derogatory statements, I do appreciate the real history of such progressions in our society. I therefore found it very interesting to hear this in a way as would not be politacally correct today.
