This book gets 5 stars for creativity and humor but only 3 overall because the style made it hard for me to finish. The range of magical creatures is impressive and the self-help group is hilarious. What I didn't like were the really short chapters, sometimes complete lack of punctuation, repetitive profanity, and the assumption of knowledge of London's neighborhoods. I was also completely confused for the first 100 pages because I didn't know there was a previous YA series related to this book. If you don't mind not knowing what's going on, this book may delight you. If you like a straightforward narrative style, take a pass.
