Good Book! Fargo travels to Placerville, CA near Sacramento to help out his old friend Cain Parker. Cain Parker is owner of Sharons Dream gold mine and is in a mine war with Henry Brant. Henry Brant is the owner of the neighboring mine and his gold vein is almost played. He now wants Cains mine. Cains son Daniel has fallen in love with Henry Brants daughter, Sarah and has switched to Brants side. This book has several good action scenes include shoot out with gun fighter Mike Rule. If you are a reader of the series it is must read. If you want to start reading the series of the books this is a good taste of what most of the books in the series are like. I am going to end this review with intro sentence from the book: California, 1861 the death of a good friend at the hands of ruthless killers means that many will die before the Trailsman feels his need for vengeance has been satisfied.
