Nice follow-up to Wide Open. While it doesn't depend on the previous book, much better to have read it first anyway. Coates created a very interesting supernatural underworld to lie alongside our own. I really liked the plot here, with the mystery of why Hollowell was targeting Lily and Beth. You have to wonder how he found out about them in the first place. I loved Maker the black dog. Boyd is kind of an enigma to me, but his backstory was a good one. There's one more, and I'm interested to find out what Hallie is going to do with her job offer.
