From Amazon:

Bert Swain, media relations director at the Krinsky Research Center, has solved a few murders in his day. So when Anne DeVilliers, sister of one of Krinsky's board members, receives death threats, Bert goes undercover at Anne's Gaia Institute, a combination environmental day camp and experimental drug lab, to determine what's what. Then the murders start. With the help of his precocious teenage daughter, Bert struggles to find out who's behind the deaths. The story he uncovers is the oldest one in the book, albeit with a few odd twists. Unfortunately, while Nathan's plot is inventive and original, it frequently loses its way and slows to a crawl about halfway through the story. Swain is a likable amateur sleuth, though, and the scenes with his daughter, a sort of updated Nancy Drew, work well.
