I really like this book! Emily is a bit of a "perfect" heroine, but all of the characters are hilarious and have their comical tics and quirks. The concept is funny, and the graphics are terrific. There are some inconsistences in the details, but overall a great book!
P.S. I'm going to write an edited version of the synopsis, since that is not how it goes.

In this thrilling sequel to AMULET #1: THE STONEKEEPER, Emily and her brother Navin head for Kanalis in search of a cure for their poisoned mother, with a cast of lifelike robots, including the stuffed-bunny/escort robot Misket, in tow. There they learn that the only cure is the fruit from an intelligent tree on the top of Demon's Head Mountain. Unfortunately, the Elf King and his minions, including last book's archenemy Trellis, are hot on their heels.
A battle is looming. Time is running out for their mother. The amulet around Emily's neck is trying to take her over. Can Emily save her friends and family--while still keeping her soul intact?
