I started this book and then put it down. Don't know why but I wasn't into it. Nevertheless, I picked it back up and I'm sure glad I did. The story was very good. You would think with the title "Savage King", the king in the story would be just that-savage. But King Kirill is not. His father ("King Attor"), who dies early in the story, was savage & ruthless but Kirill is nothing like his father. However, Kirill has to live in the footsteps of his father, fighting to prove he is nothing like his father and his own internal battle of proving he is a better man than his father. Agent Ulyssa Payne is the main character in the story but she really is overshadowed by King Kirill. She is bitchy, and feisty but it is King Kirill that shows her she is truly more than her agent status. I never expected to do a review of erotica but I really like the story and the characters. It's not just steamy sex!
