Book Review of Promise of the Witch King (Sellswords, Bk 2)

Promise of the Witch King (Sellswords, Bk 2)
reviewed on

I found Promise of the Witch King to be a good continuation of the Sellswords Trilogy, which focuses on the adventures of Jarlaxle and Entreri. The book is action packed and, as always, Salvatore is a wizard of words when it comes to action scenes. Of the three books in the trilogy, I found this one to be the most shallow (for lack of a better word). It is a fun, quick read and feels like a night at the table with your buddies as you run through a dungeon crawl. I felt that most of the book was relatively predictable, however, I was very pleased with the ending and the way it leads into Book 3, which is a much better novel in my opinion. Overall, I recommend this book. It is necessary if you are reading the Sellswords Trilogy, and it is a fun dungeon crawl adventure with two of Salvatore's most interesting characters. Just dont expect to have your mind blown with unexpected twists and turns throughout.
