I read this book quite a while back before there was any talk of a movie. I've actually read the whole series. Honestly, I loved it, even though I am far from high school age. It is a light and easy read with a sweet love story and a little bit of action/danger thrown in. I thought Ms. Meyer did a nice job with character development, for the most part. Even Edward, our drop dead gorgeous, perfect man(vampire) had some flaws which made him all the more real. I think if you like sweet, chaste romances with a twist, you might enjoy this novel. Just keep in mind that it's light, fun reading and not the great American novel.
