The other reviewers covered the plot well, so I won't go into that. This isn't the usual genre of book that I read But, Oh, my! I absolutely loved this book. After watching the "Twilight" movie, I ran out and bought all the books the very next day! I know, I did it backwards, but the books are better than the movie & I adored the movie. I read the whole series in less than one week!

Stephenie Meyer can really write well. I love the way she describes moods and the way she writes the conversations between her characters. There's not one subtle facial expression or tone of conversation that the reader will miss. You'll feel like you are there in this book. Even though, this book was marketed for the young adult crowd if you are a woman who is young at heart, there are many things about the main character Bella you will identify with. She's clumsy, is old before her time and totally unaware of her own beauty both inside and out. Edward (the 109 year old vampire) frozen at 17 is an old-fashioned, respectable and protective paramour to Bella. This is the kind of man most women dream of. It's a great escape from reality!

I'm not really into the latest crazes, but, I am addicted to the Twilight saga. This book (the whole saga) is wonderful. Also, don't worry moms, there is no sex in this book. It is very clean- no cursing in this one either. Very nice read.
