This book is absolutely riveting. Whether or not youre interested in military history, you will marvel at the courage, the passion, and the camaraderie so brilliantly portrayed in this narrative of the Six-Day War.

Based on more than 300 hours of interviews with those who were on the front lines, the author weaves together an absorbing and fascinating collage of first-person accounts of the war. Some of the anecdotes will make you smile; some will leave you in tears. Is this a one-sided account? Undoubtedly. The author, who is Jewish, aims to tell the story of this war fought by Jewish soldiers to preserve the Jewish nation. And it is one heck of a story one that tells how a tiny fledgling country with a military that seemed put together with spit and glue prevailed against bigger countries and overwhelming odds.
