Cemetery Restorer Amelia Gray has been working at the Seven Gates Cemetery in a small South Carolina town. Taking a break from the heat of the day, Amelia takes a walk under the shade trees and stumbles across a dozen caged graves. The cage is called a mortsafe and is something that is not regularly found in this country. These graves were not on the graveyard blueprints, and Amelia is shocked to see one of the graves has a pair of hands coming out of the soil and gripping the cage. When the police arrive, they discover the corpse of a woman who was recently buried alive. Amelia knows that she was meant to find these graves and use what the ghosts tell her to solve the murder of this young woman.

This is the 5th book in the Graveyard Queen series. As always, the writing makes you feel like you are actually there. It has a spooky quality that puts me on edge while listening to the audiobook. I thought the narration by Khristine Hvam was excellent. Her slow cadence just added to my enjoyment of the book. My only problem with this story was Amelia constantly moaning about her breakup with Devlin. I'm sure we'll see more of him in the last book. I just don't know what he is up to. My rating: 4.5 Stars.
