Ann Rule writes a clear and mesmerizing true crime book about a professional man who tries to kill his wife with arsenic. He has a girlfriend and debts (the usual motives)and thinks this is the most expedient way to go about it. It takes his wife a long time to believe her husband would want to kill her. It's only after she becomes so ill and crippled from the effects of the arsenic that truth starts to hit her. This is another book explaining why arsenic is banned in many states and how easy it is to catch a killer with today's modern forensics. And this was written before forensics became so advanced and refined!
