Back of Book: In Bollywood, the film capital of India, the grisly murder of Dhartiraj, India's most famous screen villain, has plunged the hindi tinsel town into chaos and intrigue. But with the help of an every resourceful gossip columnist Ghote has soon assembled a list of well-known suspects. In his enthusiam to see justice served, Ghote gets caught up in his own theatrics his own life almost ends.

I say: Here are some descriptions of Insp. Ghote - shrewd, pompous, sensitive, determinedperturbed, self doupting, lovable, awkwardly heroic. In short - this little Indian cop, who has as much trouble with his superiors as he does with the criminals, is a very believable guy. I love this series.
