My first Lori Handeland book and definitely not my last. I liked the characters and the writing style of first person through the heroines eyes. The plot was strong and the suspense/mystery kept me guessing all the way, which I thoroughly enjoy. The only beef I have is that I prefer my heroines to be less butch and not so mouthy with all the bluntness and cursing, but hey, I'm opened-minded and appreciate the book for its uniqueness. Now on to Hunter's Moon.
